Conservatism. So Simple Even Kids Understand It.

Sean Nelson

Sean Nelson writes and illustrates children’s books focused on educating “young skulls full of mush”, as the great Rush Limbaugh once said. He created the Bungles book series to introduce conservative principles to children and to show the polarizing outcomes between liberalism and conservatism. He thoroughly enjoys cookies, which is fitting as Bungles enjoys them, too.

One summery day in 1993, while serving in the Air Force at Hill AFB in Utah, Sean Nelson turned on the television only to discover the Rush Limbaugh Show for the first time. That moment began his rapid transformation from liberal to conservative. After many years as a student of The Limbaugh Institute For Advanced Conservative Studies, and as an artist, he had the idea of creating entertaining illustrated books for children, or for “young skills full of mush”, as Rush used to call them.

In 2000, after putting his baby daughter, Amber, to sleep one night, Sean took notice of one of her stuffed animals, a little pink bunny. He named the stuffed bunny “Bungles” and the idea of doing a series of Bungles books was born.
He is happily married to his wife, Dawn, and lives in Florida. He also thoroughly enjoys cookies, which is fitting as Bungles enjoys them, too.
